children's ministry
We desire to be a community in which children receive the radical welcome of Jesus Christ. We support families and children as they respond to the invitation of Jesus, their Good Shepherd, to “Follow me.”
As a faith community we:
- Welcome and include children in our worship and mission
- Provide resources for families in nurturing children on the journey of faith
- Offer Children’s Worship classes and childcare during most Sunday services
Children of any age are welcome to be in the sanctuary for any part of the service, wiggles, noises, wandering in the aisles, and all (truly!)
- Colouring supplies are in the entryway for children (and adults!) to help themselves during the service. Please help your kids to return these supplies at the end of the service.
- The Nursery is downstairs in the classroom corridor. Take a right when you get to the bottom of the stairs. It has a rocking chair and change table.
- The Toddler Room is also in the classroom corridor downstairs and is always available to families with young children. When children’s programming isn’t on offer, this space is parent-minded.
- Classes for children ages 3+ will start after the passing of the peace (see reverse). Feel free to accompany your child downstairs if you feel unsure about where to go.
Most Sundays we offer classes for children (ages 3-K, gr 1-4, gr 5-7, and gr 8-12). Our classes are provided by trained and screened ministry personnel who follow procedures aligned with our Leading with Care policy.
Please contact melanie if you have any questions or to receive a link to the Children’s Worship Registration Form.
